Quick Add & Batch Operations
The Quick Add button is a floating action button (FAB) fixed at the bottom-right corner of every dashboard page. It provides instant access to common actions without navigating away from your current view.
A circular primary-colored button appears at the bottom-right of every page. Click it (or press Ctrl+Q) to open the quick action menu.
Available Actions
| Action | Description | Module Required |
|---|
| Batch Operations | Apply the same operation to multiple fields at once | Seasons |
| Apply Inputs | Distribute inputs (fertilizers, chemicals) across fields | Inventory |
| Add Delivery | Quickly log an inbound or outbound delivery | Deliveries |
Only actions for modules you have access to are shown. If you can’t see a shortcut, check your module permissions with your farm administrator.
Keyboard Shortcuts
The Quick Add menu supports full keyboard control:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|
| Ctrl+Q | Toggle the Quick Add menu open/close |
| 1–9 | Select a numbered action when the menu is open |
| Escape | Close the menu or dismiss a modal |
Each action in the menu shows a numbered keyboard hint for quick access.
Batch Operations
The Batch Operations modal lets you apply a single operation across multiple fields simultaneously:
- Open Quick Add → Batch Operations
- Select the season and operation type
- Choose the target fields (multi-select)
- Fill in the operation details (date, equipment, products)
- Click Apply to create the operation for all selected fields
This is especially useful for farm-wide activities like applying the same herbicide treatment to all wheat fields.
Quickly distribute inventory items to fields:
- Open Quick Add → Apply Inputs
- Select the product from your inventory
- Choose the target fields and quantities
- Confirm the application
Configuring Quick Add
Customize the Quick Add button from Settings → App Settings:
- Toggle on/off — Show or hide the FAB entirely
- Configure shortcuts — Choose which actions appear in the menu
The Quick Add button can also be triggered from the Sites map page. After opening it, you can select operations that apply to fields directly from the map view.
